Mind Room
Train your brain like an athlete.
Five evidence-backed tools in one room: Stockfish chess up to 2570 ELO, Memory Match, Sudoku, Block Drop and Box Breathing. Build focus, working memory and lower anxiety — from first move to grandmaster prep.
Chess — Pro Mode
Powered by Stockfish — the world's strongest chess engine. Five difficulty levels up to 2570 ELO.
What the 2570 ELO engine actually does
Pro Mode runs Stockfish — the same open-source engine used by world champions to prepare. It plays inside your browser (nothing is sent to a server) and you can dial it from a gentle 800 ELO sparring partner all the way up to 2570 ELO, which is roughly International Master strength. The higher the level, the deeper it searches and the fewer mistakes it makes.
1. Pick a level you can beat
Start at 800–1200. If you win three in a row, step up. If you lose three in a row, step down. Learning happens at the edge of your level, not above it.
2. Use hints, then review
Take a hint when you're stuck — it's a coach, not a cheat. After the game, replay the moves and ask: where did I drift? One lesson per game beats ten rushed losses.
3. Keep sessions short
15–20 minutes, two or three times a week, beats one long grind. Pair a Pro Mode game with a 3-minute Box Breathing reset to lock the focus benefit in.
A word on safety: 2570 ELO will crush a club player. That's normal — losing to a stronger engine is how grandmasters train. If sessions start to feel frustrating rather than focusing, drop the level, switch to Box Breathing for a few minutes, and come back fresh.
Memory Match
Flip cards, find pairs. Proven to reduce self-rumination and build working memory.
Sudoku
Logic puzzles shown in clinical trials to lower anxiety and sharpen working memory.
Block Drop
Visuospatial play. Oxford research: 20 minutes can reduce intrusive memories and flashbacks.
Box Breathing
Three patterns including the Navy SEAL 4-4-4-4. Lowers cortisol and anxiety in under three minutes.
Word Connect
Decode the hidden word. Builds executive function, focus and distraction resistance.
