Prison leavers, people serving sentences who want a route into work on release, and young people from underserved communities who see fitness as a way out. We also support the gyms, prisons, probation officers and funders who back them — but every tool is designed candidate-first.
You sign up free. MEM finds your nearest government-funded Level 2 or 3 fitness course and writes your supporting letter. Once qualified, MEM matches you with a partner gym, sends you a £250 MEM Gym Kit so you can start coaching immediately, and gives you the tools to run your own self-employed PT business — invoicing, tax, marketing, business plan, the lot.
No. The platform is free for candidates forever. Courses are government-funded, the MEM Gym Kit is provided at no upfront cost, and partner gyms pay us — not you. We're a CIC, not a startup chasing exits.
Yes. Ask your gym instructor, education lead or resettlement officer to make a warm referral through MEM. We'll have a course place, a kit and a partner gym ready for the day you're released.
