What a bio is actually for

A coach bio is not a CV. Its only job is to make the right person think "this coach is for me" within 5 seconds. That means it has to lead with WHO you help and WHAT outcome you deliver, not with how many certifications you hold.

Credentials matter — but later, after trust is created.

A simple bio formula

Try this structure: 1) one sentence on who you help and what outcome you deliver, 2) one or two sentences of credibility (story or experience), 3) what working with you looks like or who it is for, 4) a clear call to action.

Short, specific, in plain English. No jargon, no "results-driven holistic transformation" — speak like a human.

Common bio mistakes

Avoid: opening with your qualifications, listing every modality you offer, writing in third person when nothing else on your profile is, using buzzwords no client uses, or trying to appeal to everyone. Each one quietly costs you clients.

Read your bio out loud. If it sounds like a brochure, rewrite it.
