Sprint 8 · 10 modules
Sprint 8 — Evidence & Impact Reporting
Sprints 1–7 build the programme. Sprint 8 is how we prove it worked — to clients (renewal), funders (next round), the board (governance), and ourselves (so we don't lie to anyone, including by accident).

Sprint overview
Sprint 8 — Evidence & Impact Reporting
Owner: Head of Impact · Status: Shipped · Audience: Board, clients, funders, external assurance, regulators if asked.
Why this sprint exists
Sprints 1–7 build the programme. Sprint 8 is how we prove it worked — to clients (renewal), funders (next round), the board (governance), and ourselves (so we don't lie to anyone, including by accident).
Competitor gap (see docs/corporate-competitor-gap-analysis.md):
- EAPs report utilisation (% of headcount that called) and call it "impact." It isn't.
- Wellbeing platforms report engagement (logins, content views). Also not impact.
- B-Corp wellbeing providers occasionally publish an SROI number but rarely show working, assumptions, or who assured it.
MEM publishes the method, the assumptions, the raw deltas, the confidence factor, and the assurance trail. That is the moat.
Deliverables
| # | File | Purpose |
|---|---|---|
| 01 | 01-impact-measurement-framework.md | The 4-tier model (outputs → outcomes → impact → SROI) with what we measure at each tier. |
| 02 | 02-quarterly-impact-report-template.md | Client-facing quarterly report. Editable per engagement. |
| 03 | 03-annual-impact-report-template.md | Public, all-clients-rolled-up annual report with diversity, attrition, and assurance statement. |
| 04 | 04-sroi-methodology.md | Full method, financial proxies, sources, sensitivity analysis. Auditable. |
| 05 | 05-data-quality-and-confidence-factor.md | How the confidence factor (Sprint 5 / 07) is calculated, when we suppress a number, and how we communicate uncertainty. |
| 06 | 06-board-impact-dashboard.md | Internal board pack (monthly): leading + lagging indicators, risk register hooks. |
| 07 | 07-external-assurance-readiness.md | Pre-assurance checklist for a third-party assurer (e.g. Social Value International, B-Corp recertification). |
| 08 | 08-evidence-room-spec.md | Engineering spec for the internal Evidence Room (where every claim has a clickable source). |
| 09 | 09-narrative-case-study-template.md | How we write a single participant story without breaching anonymity. |
| 10 | 10-publication-and-correction-policy.md | What we publish, when, and how we handle a number we got wrong. |
Quality gates (must be true before any number leaves the building)
- Every published number ties back to a row or aggregate view in the data model (Sprint 5 / 05) with
n ≥ 5. - Every SROI ratio is published with the confidence factor (file 05) and a one-line uncertainty note.
- Every claim in a client-facing report has a source link in the Evidence Room (file 08).
- No participant is identifiable in any report — narratives use composite anonymisation (file 09).
- If a number is wrong, the correction policy (file 10) is followed within 5 working days.
- External assurance pack (file 07) can be assembled in under 5 working days at any time.
What this sprint deliberately does NOT do
- It does not promise SROI ratios above what the data supports. If confidence is low, we say so on the cover.
- It does not replace clinical outcome measurement. Pulse instruments measure confidence and self-reported change, not diagnosis or treatment outcomes — consistent with the no-clinical-services scope.
- It does not turn the impact report into a sales asset. The same report goes to the board and to the client; we don't write two versions.
Next sprint
Sprint 9 — Operating cadence + risk register (the rhythm that keeps Sprints 1–8 running, plus the live risk register). Say "ship 9" to proceed.

Bring Evidence & Impact into your organisation.
MEM is a self-serve resource library — your managers and staff work through the modules at their own pace, with the workbooks, runsheets and pocket cards provided. Coach-led delivery is available only for our corporate fitness sessions, not the educational modules. Every funded seat also opens a mirrored free seat for someone leaving prison, with SROI your board can sign off.
