Upsells: challenges, workshops, meal plans, live classes and digital products

Upsells are not about squeezing more money out of clients. They are about offering relevant extras that genuinely help the client progress. Done well, they increase results and increase revenue at the same time.

Done badly, they feel pushy and damage trust.

Common upsells include short challenges (4 or 6 weeks), workshops (form, nutrition basics, mindset), meal plan packs, live classes, recorded programmes, equipment guides, accountability groups, retreats and digital products.

Each one can be sold to existing clients, used to attract new clients or bundled into a higher tier.

An upsell should have its own price, its own delivery and its own outcome. Avoid heavy discounting that trains clients to wait for offers. Position the upsell as an enhancement, not a desperate add-on.

Used over a year, a handful of small upsells can add up to a meaningful second income stream alongside the core offer.
