Lesson 4 of 7

AI marketing workflow — content, captions, ads

~10 min

Learning objectives

  • Use AI to remove the blank-page problem in marketing
  • Build a weekly AI marketing routine
  • Keep your real voice on every output
  • Stop AI from making your brand sound generic

Use AI for drafts, never for voice

AI is brilliant at drafting hooks, captions, carousel outlines, ad variations and email sequences. It is bad at sounding like you. If your last 10 captions could have been written by any coach, you have skipped the rewrite step.

Always rewrite AI output in your own voice. Use your phrases, your stories, your client examples. The AI gets you to a strong draft 5x faster — your job is to make it sound human.

A weekly AI marketing routine

Monday (30 min): brainstorm 10 content ideas with AI based on your niche and last week's client questions. Tuesday (20 min): turn 3 ideas into carousel scripts. Wednesday (20 min): draft 3 short-form hooks per idea. Thursday (20 min): draft captions + DM scripts. Friday (15 min): batch schedule.

Two hours a week of AI-assisted marketing > five hours of unstructured posting.

Ad creative without the burn

Use the AI Ad Creative tool to draft 3–5 variations of any ad: change the hook, change the social proof, change the CTA. Run them small, see which one earns the cheapest click or DM, then put budget behind the winner.

Never run AI ad copy unedited if it makes a health claim, references a specific result, or sounds anything like "guaranteed". Those are compliance risks, not just bad copy.

Founder insight — Derrick Twum

MEM uses the AI Marketer internally to scale content across hubs, but every external-facing line is reviewed by a human for tone, accuracy and brand fit. AI is the engine, not the driver.

Key takeaway

A 2-hour-per-week AI marketing routine + a strict human-voice rewrite step beats hours of unstructured posting and protects your brand.

Reflection questions

  1. 1Do your captions sound like you or like a generic coach?
  2. 2What recurring slot in your week could you protect for AI-assisted marketing?
  3. 3Which client questions from last week are content ideas?
  4. 4What ad claims would you never let AI publish unchecked?

Action task

Block a 2-hour AI marketing slot in your calendar this week and draft 5 captions and 5 hooks using the routine above. Rewrite each in your voice.
