Lesson 8 of 9
Evidencing outcomes (so you get re-booked)
Learning objectives
- Pick 3 outcomes per programme you can actually measure
- Use entry + exit metrics that take under 10 minutes
- Produce a one-page outcomes report at end of block
- Use the report to win the next contract
Outcomes the buyer cares about
Schools: engagement, behaviour in lessons, confidence, attendance at school. Employers: wellbeing score, energy levels, sickness days. Councils / charities: participation, retention, self-reported wellbeing, physical markers if relevant.
Pick 3 — no more. More metrics = more to chase = nothing gets measured.
Entry + exit, under 10 minutes
Short questionnaire (5 questions). Optional physical marker (e.g. plank, shuttle, mile time, grip). Run it week 1 and week 8. Compare. Anonymous aggregate goes in the report; individual data stays with the participant.
The one-page outcomes report
Programme summary. Attendance. 3 outcomes (entry vs exit). 2 quotes from participants (with consent). 1 recommendation for next block. Send to the buyer within 7 days of the final session.
Founder insight — Derrick Twum
Coaches who send a one-page outcomes report inside a week renew at roughly 3× the rate of coaches who don't. It's the single biggest community-delivery lever.
Key takeaway
3 outcomes, entry + exit, one-page report inside 7 days = repeat contracts.
