Lesson 3 of 8
Templates that move you 10× faster
Learning objectives
- Build a small library of marketing templates you reuse
- Stop rewriting the same post from scratch every week
- Use templates without sounding generic
- Keep templates in one place so you actually find them
Why templates win
Templates remove the 'what do I post today?' decision. Decisions are the real bottleneck, not writing. Coaches who post consistently almost all run on a small set of reusable shapes.
The starter 6
Build six templates and rotate them: (1) client win, (2) myth bust, (3) behind-the-scenes session, (4) FAQ answer, (5) offer post, (6) personal story. Six shapes covers months of content if you swap the topic each week.
Templates without sounding generic
The shape is reusable. The detail is not. Keep the hook, structure and CTA reusable; rewrite the specific story, client name (with consent), number or example every time. Generic copy comes from copying the words, not the structure.
Founder insight — Derrick Twum
Inside MEM, the coaches with the most consistent presence are the ones with the fewest templates — not the most. They reuse six things well, not sixty things badly.
Key takeaway
A small, well-organised template library beats unlimited inspiration you never use.
Reflection questions
- 1Which post type do you find easiest to write?
- 2Which one do you avoid — and is that a skills gap or a confidence gap?
- 3Where would you keep your templates so you actually open them?
- 4What's a recent win or story you've never turned into a post?
Action task
Write all 6 starter templates today. Save them in one document or Notion page titled 'Marketing templates'.
